Some I took yesterday afternoon at Dinton
It looks like it's a good season for Fungi this year. I assume that the last 2 shots are of those wonderfully delicate ones (sorry, I know nought about mushrooms)... lovely things, although quite a few there seem to have been nibbled
Nice set of shots, Joe
Certainly do seem to be a lot about, love the array in the fourth picture.
Yep, me too - they look to be those wonderful delicate ones that really do make me think of fairies.
I don't know anything about them either but they look nice. Obviously some animals or insects like them from the nibbles.
If I had better access to 'mushroom land' I would definitely do a course so I could collect them for eating - certainly, loads seem to be liked by the little creatures as many I've seen have been nibbled, despite the many other edlble things around at the moment.
well apparently dont eat any i photograph as i tend to get poisonus ones!! love the pics joe, tis the season for them, warmish and damp... i shall be trolling for them soon too..
I remember an episode of the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall programme when he went out mushrooming and almost cooked some poisonous ones, but luckily he had an expert come over for lunch
Billy these were on the path between Bittern hide and Teal hide.
