I thought this was a Rock Pipit but some one else says it is a Meadow Pipit
I took quite a few shots. I quite like this one
I'd say Meadow, because of the lighter legs Beryl.
Lovely photo, Beryl!
I'd agree with Rolf for several reasons -
a - where it is perched (as most Rock Pipits I have seen were on the ground - or beach, as in the attachment)
b - because it is a warm colour
c - because it has a more lightly-speckled breast than a Rock Pipit
d - because of the lighter legs (as Rolf says)
e - because Rolf is usually right!
Meadow Pipit it is.
Thank you For your kind comment. I took quite a few but very much the same
(Rolf is always right )
Thank you for the reassurance. It is so hard to tell some times but yes the legs are very pale and give it away really.
The only place I see these are on the rocks along the estuary. I guess that is why I though it to be a Rock Pipit
LOL, now now ladies, not fair to make fun of me.
Would we ever do that? Really, Rolf! And we were bowing in homage to the expert!

Most definitely
