    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Default Gannet

    Saw my first Gannets this weekend. Me and hubby watched a pair of Gannets fishing from Castle Point in Falmouth Cornwall. We managed to get some pics of them but not very good. I wasn't sure what they were but they certainly stood out from the Herring Gulls. Managed to identify them when I got home and checked my bird reference book

    I've seen them in the past, but before i was really interested in Birds, would like to see the pictures Babs.

    This is one that hubby took and I would say it's the best of the bunch

    Thanks rolf yes we did but it it was a lot to cram in a weekend. Arrived there at midnight Friday and set of back this morning at 8am.

    I have yet to see a Gannet. I think they are very big.

    Yes they are Chocky, we could see quite a long way out
