    Default Shelduck Duckling

Standing on the platform at Bowling Green Marsh today a convoy of half grown duckings sailed past, I wondered what they were a they were far out and then a couple of minutes later (as I thought) along came Mum, a Shelduck with the rest of the convoy following her. As it had started to rain quite heavily I managed to shoot one at a time having a cover over my camera. The whole convoy would have been unrecognizable as they were quite a distant apart from each other and as I said, quite a distance from me So here is one and very cute I might add. His beak is still black
