    Captured this Mistel thrush in a Mountain Ash tree( Rowan)
    The colours make such a nice contrast. And the Mountain Ash is such a pretty tree

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Yes as Maureen says nice close ups Chocky. I actually bought a Rowan tree with some of my birthday money and one of my cats is using the base as a toilet

    You can put a mini fencing round it. These are my favorite trees Did you know they are one of the plants that is a replica of it's self . Like the fern. each fern is identical to it's leaf and that is identical to it's branch and the tree is or should be the same shape too.

    Very nice, especialy since you get a really good view of its feet and how it is holding on.
