Hiya

i might be off on holiday in march to devon - round the ottery area - so any good bird hides in that area, places to see sea birds they all need to be places of little walking because of my back...

Well there is the river Otter . Log walk but you don't need to walk all of it . Fantastic for wildlife. I have only passed it because it's too far for me to walk and too far away. I pass it going to Bicton Botanical gardens. That also has good wildlife but again lot of walking. Mind you it has a lovely little train that goes all round it

Budleigh Salterton bird hides how good is this area - also having not done esterys for years is there a good time of day i need to look for to do bird watching?

This is where I live .Just across the road. It only really active between September and January. Most of the visiting birds have gone now But the summer will ring more

Further up at Topsham is Bowling Green marsh. Thia often has rare visitors and when it does the hide get pretty crowded

well i might be picking your brains even more then!! lol im just going to have a good bird photographing holiday and im working round the area trying to find interesting places.. oh and any ruined buildings is also something i like!!

I don't know about any Ruins. But there is Powderham Castle

im getting a little more excited each day planning this trip... way down im going through new forest get in some wildlife there, plus churches, standing stones, and some other places ive always wanted to go...

Just been looking at places on dartmoor, cause i know with my lens the light has to be good for bird spotting but ruins and church yards can happen any time nearly!!

One thing i forgot to ask are these open access hides in your area chocky dont want to turn upto find no access... lol im currently joining two sites locally so i can keep doing what i enjoy... dont mind paying for it mind what i get from it..
