    Nikon D300,nikon 70-200 +1.7 converter. Nikon 105 mm Macro with VR Sigma 300 with X2 converter Nikon P5000 with fieldscope and Binos Nikon D7000 Nikon 17-55 mm F2.8

    Default More gruesome heron shots.

    Taken today at Lavell's. He took about 4 fish today but this was the best series.

    Yes it was spear fishing, he struggled to get it off his beak for a couple of minutes.
    The herons at Lavell's are usually quite good at catching fish for us to photo if the are on either scrape. I could watch them all day.
