Default Yellow Shell Moth - Camptogramma bilineata

There I was complaining that most of my moth shots weren't 'as nature intended' but inside the house, when I upset his beauty when I went to the compost bin. I Followed it, ran back inside and, voila!

They are usually 20-25mm but I reckon that his one was about 18mm. PerYellow Shell Camptogramma bilineata - UKMoths and they are apparently variable in size and also in colour from bright yellow to dark brown.

Yep - it's just such a pity that it's so difficult to get a night moth out in the open, they are much better in an outside shot.
