    Default Beautiful calender

I got this sent to me, it is a calender with pictures of birds from the holy land. Well worth having a look. Fortunately the resolution is quite good.
    Enjoy

WOW - I kept thinking "ooh - I will comment on that shot", then "..no, this shot..>" then.. well , you've guessed it. That's a wonderful series of shots there and I would be hard pressed to pick one to favourite - but to go for the purely artistic merits - those cranes in red are stunning !
Thanks for that TG, that's wonderful!

Yes, superb photos, but being a nitwit, the shot that really sticks out for me is the student using a sock as a scope sleeve. Very inventive.

That's Israeli for you, always improvising
If you are really into photographing and watching birds, you should investigate going on a birdwatching holiday in Israel. It is one of the best places in the world as hundreds and hundreds of thousands of birds fly every year over Israel when migrating to the south.

That last shot of the European Goldfinch...... you can even see his tongue just sticking out, what patience it must take to get such clear shots with a long lens.
