    Default The Vapourer Moth caterpillar - Orgyia antiqua

    The colouring is a bit dodgy as it was behind a sun-lit leaf - I have tried to take the green down, but couldn't clear it fully.

    I didn't know what it was, but I looked at 'wildaboutbritain' in the caterpillar section thinking that if I had just seen one, others would have... and there it was just a few shots from the end of the 'gallery

    I thought that I'd start with WAB , thinking that if I was seeing it now, other would be. When I say "end of the gallery" I mean the latest shots.. so it literally took just a minute or so to find it. If it hadn't been easy to spot I would have gone to the book.. honest!
