Creatures do the funniest things.

I know it's a bit of cliche, but...

I came across both of theses this morning - the first is a Robin who, in the November snows decided that when the going gets tough the tough go shopping BBC News - Robin reliant on daily Co-op breakfast in Aberdeen

The second is a gorilla who has learned to stand and walk. What I love about this is that it really makes the whole 'ancestor learned to go upright' thing more believable (not that it was unbelievable....).

Both clips are superb, love the Robin one, although Food and Hygiene officials will probably ban him from the store.

Just what I thought Rolf - but then to be honest, I am not that keen myself. Even when I just move the bins for collection I wash my hands because I know that the birds perch on them, and as you know I'm not exactly overhot on cleanliness ;-)

It's a great video, Louise, and I'm sure that's the same Gorilla which 'mooned' at all of us* as we went round the park in a trailer behind a tractor!

I think he has some personality - abominable snowman-type walk, so maybe that's the answer to the q. about that creature too?

*I need to explain that we were at a wedding in the main house there, and while the bride and groom were getting their pics taken, all the guests (in their finery!) were taken round the park in that trailer! It was really fun - and quite different from the usual waiting for the meal at the wedding reception!

Catherine, what a lovely idea. I do think that large swathes of some weddings can be a bit tedious... but that sounds great.
