According to statistics published today, 35 people have also been killed in the past four months, and another 74 injured. Italy's anti-hunting league, the LAC, said all but one were hunters killed accidentally by their shooting companions

What amazed me most was not that so many people get hurt, or that so many weren't involved in hunting (with large numbers of people waving guns what can you expect), but that "..They can go on to private property and fire anywhere not within 50m of a road or 150m of a house..." - so there is no-where you can guarantee that you won't get shot at even if it's your own private land!
