Default Waxwings at Spencers Wood, Wednesday 3rd of February

Was sitting in my van pulled onto the side of the old Basingstoke Road at Spencers Wood to eat my lunch, when a glance across the road revealed a couple of Waxwings in a tree some 50 metres away.

Anyway, had my camera with me and got a couple of shots, there were around 20 there, feeding on apples in a garden. Couldn't get very close, but it was a lovely bright afternoon.

You managed some great shots there, Rolf!

Isn't it amazing how the birds easily match the seed pods hanging from the tree? They give them good camouflage!

Yes, at a glance you'd miss them, fortunately a couple had been sitting in a taller tree with no leaves or pods at all.
