    Default Shower-head fungus

Well I know that probably isn't what it's called, but it should be.

    Or Jabberwock's foot fungus?

I think it's this one - the Birch Polypore Fungus - as that looks like a Birch tree!; Science Photo Library: stock science and specialist images and footage

I can't remember seeing one like that before. Had to look it up. The birch bark was the clue for me!

Shame the tree might die because of it though.

Lots of Birch trees in the copse Catherine, so probably won't be a problem.
