Default Wolf Spider - Pirata piraticus

This spider is of the Wolf Spider family. I came across her whilst sorting through my bugs for a slide show
Her you see she with a sac of eggs which she carries with her back legs.
She can still run like the clappers whilst carrying the eggs. I had to runn after her to capture this photo.

What a great photo, Chocky !!!!!

I'm glad that your big legs ran after her little legs, it's a nice shot. Mind you, I think that the common name is wrong, with a Latin name like that shouldn't it be the "Pirate Spider" ?

Well, since the americans seem to 'make-upirize' their own words I don't see why we can't make up new latin ones!

My cat's name was..Well it was John's cat and he called it Crockett (Miamy vice) No way was I having a snow white female cat called Crockett. So as she was white I called her Dilly Lilly and John decide it should be Latin as so Dilly Lilly became Dliilcus lillicus and Chocky My sSamese became Chollicus Lollicus.
