    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Thnks babs. I was lucky there.mind you Robins aren't that timid .
    I wondered instead of sun bathing was it cooling .I think I'll google around and see what I can find out.

    It isn't . I promise you. I googled it and the site I went to says they do sun them selves and there was an image just like my image.
    I thought he was Hyperventilating. (I didn't have a brown paper bag lol.) and I got concerned when it stopped but it flew away qhite nomaly when I put my hand down toward him.
