Olympus Evolt E520, and borrowed lenses and flash. Fuji Finepix S7000 for Macro A chair :)

Default Moth names - are they having a laugh?

...or just bored with coming up with new names?

I've just been trawling through to find an ID and decided to jot down one or two of the weirder names. There are a lot of silly-sounding names but that are understandable (e.g. map-winged moth or July Highflyer), but some are just weird:

    Cousin German
    Rest Harrow
    The Vapourer
    The Drinker
    The Lackey

... well, they make me laugh
