    Folks wonder why the birds of prey are doing so badly round here - heres yet another persecution story from up here:

    BBC News - Innerleithen goshawk chicks shot in nest

    An appeal for information has been made after goshawk chicks were found shot dead in their nest in the Borders.

    The find was made in woods near Innerleithen by wildlife police officers earlier this month.

    Innerleithen is only 10 miles from here

    I hope they catch whoever did it and make them do something to help the area's wildlife - as well as whatever cutodial/monetary punishment they deal out!
