    Default Think this may be a Goldfinch

    What does anyone else reckon? It was a lone visitor to my feeder this morning, was just heading out and did a double take, rushed to get my camera.

    My books dont show this type of head colouring, but it could be an inbetween stage of juvenile to adult. Certainly worth a double take.

    Yep
    Looks like a goldfinch with a white head. This would make it a Leucistic Bird . A genetic disorder .

    Yes, was resolved at the time Beryl, in fact a picture went into the Reading Chronicle, unfortunately forgot to update this thread.
