    Just your average news hound.

Post November summer extends window on wildlife

    News from the RSPB site

The clocks might have gone back and Christmas shopping started but in the garden at least, people are still seeing signs of summer, says the RSPB.

Yep, some flowers still out, was watching a Red Admiral on flowers in a customer's garden on Saturday.

The Honeysuckle outside this window is covered in yellow flowers and we had a few Butterflies fluttering amongst the falling Oak leaves yesterday. Winter plants for the front window boxes have had to stay in their containers as the summer flowers have been just too colourful to remove.

That was all true until this morning - with temperature of just 3c, frost on the grass and ice all over the car!

Still, it's a wonderfully bright and sunny day, and the garden is alive with small birds - how I've missed them during those milder days now gone!
