Default The Auburn - a TRUE classic car from America!

Now, I'm not one who ever praises the design or concept of any American car - old or new - as, to me, they all seem to be heavy and enlarged pieces of metal with little style and an immense hunger for fuel!

However, this one is an (or THE?) exception!

Proudly - and very appropriately - sitting at the entrance to the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu is the Auburn

Its sleek and stylish 'Art Deco' lines make it well-worthy of a special place in any motor museum.

I've added a photo of it out being driven on the concourse in summer - where, in action, the flow of its lines can be more properly appreciated!

You're right here, Catherine. American cars are a little too chunky and/or over-designed, but this one is lovely!

Yes, a lovely car. Yanks love BIG cars and plenty of muscle so their car tend to grow big the first 2-3 years then they shrink. Look at the Mustang.1964 a small powerful car and started to grow up to 1973 then it start shrinking for a few years and now it is back in the 1968 style !
