Default Wood Pigeons checking out the old nest

This is actually from New Years eve. Last year they raised 2 young 'uns in 2 sittings, and after a couple of months rest they came to check it out again (she pottered on the nest and he brought her a few new sticks). They didn't stay in the end, but I'm sure that they will come back in the not-too-distant future.

I was now going to post a shot that I got in Oct/Nov where the youngest one was in the nest, then the Mum (I assume) and the first youngster of the season were sat by the side... but can't find it :-)

That's quite a good quality nest for Woodies.

It has lasted through a couple of bouts of strong wind (from the weather, not from the pigeons ) I was surprised that it stayed put.
