    Default Dragonfly

I took this picture in my garden a summer or two ago with the macro lens.

I believe it's a dragonfly as they hold their wings out at rest. A damselfly thends to hold hers by her side.

My class researched dragonsfly vision, and then I made them draw a picture of the object from the dragonfly perspective. I also showed them some kind of device, that the science teacher let me borrow, to show how they see the world. Kids liked it.

The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
