    Just a week after serious flooding, staff and volunteers at the RSPB's reserves in Weymouth have pledged to be back open and ready for visitors in time for the Olympics at the end of the month.

    I wish them luck!

    The Hampshire County Show is due to be held in a field near Brockenhurst from a week on Tuesday. I'm not sure if it will happen now as the place is in such a state.

    HM is to visit it with Alan Titchmarsh on 25th. Let's hope she has her royal wellies on!

    I can see this year being a disater for shows, particularly as there is no end in sight of the wet weather.
