    Think I might have shot myself in the foot with regards to a new video camera.

    Toots reckons there is nothing wrong with the quality on the original

    I'm looking seriously at buying one, but I want one with manual focus as an option, not a great lover of auto focus only.

    Most seem to have that option Rolf

    This JVC I have cost £130 from the co-op about 2 years ago (end of production I think thats why so cheap) and it has manual focus and manual exposure.It of course has Auto Focus and exposure

    Yes most camcorders can be set to Manual even my tape DV camera can be set to Manual.
