Default Sad news of the passing of Beryl (Chocky)

Have been informed by Beryl's son Mark that Beryl passed away on the 19th of April from respiratory failure.

Most will be aware that Beryl had been receiving ongoing treatment for Cancer, unfortunately I only picked up Mark's email this morning, although he sent it on the 11th of this month, her funeral was on the 12th.

Beryl has been with the forum since its foundation and has contributed thousands of posts and photos, she will be missed and we send the family our sympathy.

That is terribly sad news, Rolf. Beryl has had to go through a lot over the past few years, and although her illness affected her greatly at first - both physically and emotionally - over her last few months she was seeming more positive, and when she started posting her wonderful photos again, I was sure she would pull through.
Although I never met Beryl in person, I enjoyed seeing her photos and reading her poems. I am sure the other bird sites where she did the same will miss them too - as well as the birds she loved, and seemed to get to pose in a special way to create a special or amusing study where they seemed to be speaking to her.
I do not know Beryl's family at all, Rolf, but if you are contacting Mark again, please add my condolences for his and this forum's sad loss.
