most of my efforts are digi-scoped, using an opticron hr66 scope, pentax optio v15 digital camera and homemade adaptor.+ a panasonic lumix fz28

Default sometimes you can get too lazy!!

i lost my thirteen year old westie dog, in april this year, to illness. sadly i had to have him put to sleep. it was, without doubt, one of the hardest things i have ever had to do. i missed him terribly, you get so attached don't you.
anyway iv'e found that i have become a bit too lazy over the past few months. dogs are a great incentive to getting you off of your backside and going out to see the wonderful sights nature holds. some of my best birding moment have been whilst out walking my dog jack. he seemed to know when i was watching a bird and waited patiently until it was time to move on. now too many hours have been wasted sat on this computer instead of getting out. anyway, my son and myself have finally worn my wife down and have just bought an 8 week old, westie girl puppy. as it's near christmas we have named her holly. i think you'll agree she's a looker!!
another week and she can have her injections so she can go walkies.... then she can become a birdwatcher!!........ and no more laziness on my part!!

The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

Lovely dog Andy, they certainly have some character.

Haven't got any pets myself, but adopt my Sister's two Yorkies and three cats when over in France.
