    Beryl, this is by far the best Grey Heron 'at rest' pose I ever saw. It is a classic pose for the bird plus the fact it is so bedraggled, and your title is the icing on the cake......first rate 'humorous' and well executed photograph.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
