Default dipper. trough of bowland, lancashire

this dipper worked very hard feeding it's young. i watched, as it flew, tirelessly up and down the stream with large mouthfuls of insects.
the nest, was right up, underneath this bridge, situated on one of the support girders. the dipper landed on the stones directly under the bridge, checked the 'coast was clear' before shooting up under the bridge to feed the young.
always a nice bird to see.

As posted elsewhere Andy it would have been nice to have 'bumped into you' today. I stood here about 4.15 this afternoon and watched the Dipper as I have been doing recently at this spot.

Just in case you don't notice, you have a private message in your 'inbox'.

    Pete.
