    Default Mountain Mayhem

A bit leftfield for a bird forum but I photographed a 24-hour mountain bike race last week - Mountain Mayhem 2008.

My photos can be seen on my website:

    http://lotusinternet.co.uk/mayhem/

It was the first time I've photographed an event like this and the lessons learned were invaluable; less about photography and more about preparation - both before the event and during (a 500ml bottle of water is not enough for an afternoon!).

    Comments and suggestions very welcome

    Cheers

He was a solo rider (number 2554) and he'd started 17 hours prior to that photo. And having just checked the results he was the solo men's winner: Anthony White and he did 20 laps!

Well done Mark. Great sots. Had a look at them on your site. Very good for you first time at an event. I wouldn't know where to point my camera. Good stuff
