    Winter is a coming. A small group of ten, of what could well turn into severel hundred Wigeon later in the season on the Lune Estuary at Glasson Dock about six miles downstream from Lancaster.

    I don't know the status of the Wigeon Beryl but their numbers always appear healthy to me and sounds the same with you. I haven't the figure to hand but once counted c.3,000 I think it was at Cockersands just around the corner from where these were photographed. Its a lovely bird as many of the wildfowl are, the Pintail is another beautiful duck.
