BTW it is more than rare - this is the first time it has been seen in Sweden. When the word about the bird spread over 400 birdwatchers got together just outside Stockholm, just to have a look at it. Reports tells that there where visitors from Denmark I was surprised that You know that bird Rolf.

I reckon it's more common and a Partridge. Perdix perdix.
Probably is Rolf. I can't really see it well enough. The colour made me think of Quail

Well it isn't one we'd be likely to see anywhere in the UK, doing a little research comes up with the Lesser Spotted Eagle Aquila pomarina.
