It is somewhat tricky to name this bird....
Looks like a cross House/Tree Sparrow with its grey strip on head and black mark on cheek, but I'll go for Tree Sparrow juvenile. Passer montanus.

Well, this one sort of reminded me of the small Scops Owls we've seen a couple of times at the side of the F1 track in the rain at Interlagos, but I'm going for
Little Owl - Athene noctua, as its beak is so close to its eyes..

OK, the only bird I can find which is close, bearing in mind the patterning and perhaps it being small (minute) is the Little Gull - Larus Minutus
