    Olympus E-30, Sigma 50-500mm Lens, Sigma 150mm Macro lens, Zuiko 70-300mm lens, Sigma 50mm F1,4 lens, Extension tube, 1.4x tele-converter, Carbon FibreTripod, Monopod, Vanguard Binoculars, Celestron 80F-ED Scope, Remembird recorder.

    Default Nuthatch, Chaffinch, Great tits and Coalt tit.

    The weather was not particularly nice today, so just popped a few photos through the upstairs window, hand holding the 50-500mm lens. Got a lot of duffers, but a few came out quite well, so the image Stabilisation is working.

    Thanks Beryl, unfortunately he wouldn't play ball, as the other more complete views were pretty fuzzy, I guess the hand holding has its limitation.

    Yes hand held does have it's limitations for a big lens.
    The thing is a Nuthatch is like a tree creeper rarely keeps still.
    You need to spread super glue along the branches

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
