    Default Bird Id please

    I have this lovely little bird and don't know what irtis called.
    There are a couple in my book but not quite the same as this one

    No. I didn't know what it was just that I hadn't seen one before. got two shots this being the better. Didn't cpture it here I was over near Exeter. Haven't seen one in Exmouth.
    Just had a look at yours. It does look like a Whitethrote

    most of my efforts are digi-scoped, using an opticron hr66 scope, pentax optio v15 digital camera and homemade adaptor.+ a panasonic lumix fz28

    hi chocky, what you have here is a lesser whitethroat. you can tell because it has dark ear coverts ( dark patch running through from base of bill past eye to ear region).
