    This is not a Chiffchaff . It doesn't have black legs but I', not sure which warbler it is

    The obvious pick would be a Willow Warbler, but with Warblers you never know.

    I thought it to be a Willow Warbler but like you say You can never tell. There are many different Warblers at the Bowling Green Marsh reserve
    I need a positive ID to resolve it though.

    Well this - and another of yours I just looked at asking for ID - appear to be the same species Beryl. I don't wish to get into any disagreements with anyone on this most enjoyable website but......Willow Warblers don't winter in the UK, if they do so down south then I really have learned something special today.

    Otherwise I have no idea what your bird is Beryl.

    I've been looking around at a lot of Chiffchaff info and apparently the legs of the Chiffchaff, can on occasions be a lighter shade, perhaps this is one of those.

    Yes. I was looking up the time that Willow warblers are in UK and it says April -September.
    I looked up Chiffchaffs and they are supposed to be gone by August /September
    September I photographed dozens today The bushes were full of them
    I think they are all chiffchaffs But Idon't know now. The one above isn't very good any how
    I have up loadd another in the ID today

    The legs of the Chiffchaff are usually a good ID mark but I don't think its conclusive every time.
