    Of late I have received lots of text messages from reletives and friends, with various abbreviations. They think they have invented something new. HA!

    Yeah they tried this stuff on me to

    Soon they learned that I just deleted everything I couldnīt understand so they went back to common language

    In a way I think it was started by the smilies and in time SMSīs was not that cheap(payed by the word I think) so they started to shorten it up.

    Kind of useless today, You pay by the message - not by the words

    The message I posted wasnt actually a text message but a message I would send using something that was invented in 1832 and accepted in 1843.In the early 20th century the abbreviations were used so that the oprator didnt stay in the same place for too long.It was of course, the Morse Code.So the younguns think they invented it. Yeah! right.

    Basically, apart from the obvious, all the vowels are disgarded.
