Strange Ian, the aspect ratio appears to be vertically elongated.

The white tape on the top of the feeder isnt a sign of me being miserly but the result of a running repair. It was a very windy day.The wind whipped the feeder from the branch and shattered the top, hence the repair.

Now if only I could remember the combination for the lock on my wallet I could buy a new feeder

I'm sure the birds don't care Ian, food is food.

I've been trying an experiment with a 1 litre plastic milk container, cut a square out near the bottom on one side (the lower side when hanging from the handle) then putt a couple of inches of suet in the bottom, I use suet pellets from the local pet food shop. The birds were a bit wary at first, but appear to have got the hang of it. The advantage with this is that the big birds can't get into it and it is pretty difficult for the squirrels as well.
