    This lovely bird was with the Blackcaps and flew down to as mall pond probably for a drink . The pond was mostly frozen over but there were hole in the ice so that was ok.
    How ever he hopped onto a rock and posed for me
    These birds are also in the red status

    This is a full frame. Nothing cropped

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Must join the stampede to tell Beryl how excellent I think this image of the Song Thrush is. And yes, Beryl is exceeding herself quite often now with her pics......keep it up Beryl.
