    TV presenter and ornithologist Bill Oddie has quit wildlife programme Springwatch, the BBC has confirmed.



    The former Goodie has decided to "take a breather" and will not take part in the next series, which begins in May.

    Hmm, I wonder if it has anything to do with the growing criticism of his presentation style?

    I quite like him, but can find his style detracts sometimes from the show.

    Could be. He also tends to interrupt occasion.
    Having said that I will miss him. I like him and his knowledge of birds is pretty fantastic

    I'm SO glad about that!

    Yes, I WAS a 'Goodie' fan, and I DO realise that 'Bloddie' is clever, but he is also so infuriating, and add that to his 'autumn tinted' hair, plus the electrocuted and petrified Grey Squirrel and his garden overrun by rats.......

    Though I would never deny his boundless enthiusiasm and admire his linitless knowledge, I look forward to a fresh approach!
