    These birds whatever they are took great exception to the fact that it was late afternoon on the beach in Eilat and there was nothing to eat in the bins and they danced around for ages trying to understand why. Being winter and off season, the man had already emptied what was there and replaced the half full bag with an empty one

    Too tall for Jackdaws, I think they are House Crows Corvus Splendens.

    Oh. I knew you would know Rolf The two tone colour made me think of Jackdaws
    Yes . They are in the shade. It makes the neck look dark

    I didn't know, looked them up. They are found in the middle East and the Indian subcontinent.

    Thanks for that Rolf, nice to have a first......the odd thing is I know I took a video of them hopping around but it is not in the download folder on mt PC so that is another mystery....


    EDIT.. mystery solved, I downloaded onto my laptop when abroad then copied to my PC, it was out of focus so I just didn't copy it
