    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Captured this little male Chaffinch whilst in Scotland, pity the wing feathers didn't come out

    We used to say that the Chaffinch should be the emblem of the National Trust for Scotland as they were SO commonly seen around the tables outside NTS restaurants!

    Thankyou all for your kind comments, yes Catherine, the same thing happened when we were on Mull on year and there were lots of them and they were very partial to cake if I remember rightly
