This little felle live in the brook some where and he has a mate. I have seen her. She has a red underbill which give her the look of wearing lipstick.
This photo I sent up to our local weekly rag and it was accepted and can now be used as an electronic greetings card.
I will upload one of the many poems I have written about him.

    Thank you.
I would like to get closer but the brook has very steep sides(flood relief) and at my age one just dosen't clamber up and down them.

Bout 15 feet for that one. the others he is the other sid of the brook about 30 some feet.
He make a soung like Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee as he skims the water. I have loads of photos. One of them won a water challenge comp' I was really pleased. He was sitting on a cain in the middle of the brook in the rain and I was under a tree and captured him with a nice reflection. rather a distan photo though

Nikon 55-200mm. I'm no photographer though I like to think I am.
I took 69 shots one after another and on the last two he turned round and looked at me.
It could be a bit more than 15 feet probably 20 down a steep slope. I'm just guessing really. I would still like to get closer.
