    Default Red Underwing moth - Catocala nupta

    Scared the you-know-what out of me as it flew in through the window a few nights ago since it's so large (80mm wingspan). Then I took a good look - stunning creature.
    The second shot is from the next morning to give a better idea of the colours in daylight. I managed to catch it and release it then... I have no idea where it managed to hide overnight as it's a tiny room!
