    Default Forest Bug : Pentatoma rufipes

    Here are two views a side, and a front view of the Forest Bug.
    12-15 mm dark brown with reddish legs.
    Several other bugs have similar colouration but none has the rectangular thorax and 'square-shouldered' appearance

    Yes it does look a bit prehistoric
    It's sort of like the shield bug but there is no information that it is related
