Flew into my kitchen this morning. So I took a pic and helped him fly out again. If he visits me again I'll try and get a better pic. I would rather he didn't call unexpected though

Yes . It was huge as well. about one and a half time the size of a Forest bug

So, how long do you think it was? The only reference to size I have found makes it only 4.5 to 5.5 mm ion the UK, and 6-7 mm in the US, which isn't that large. Maybe you got one for the record books!
I don't know. It just seamed large on my work surface
I reckon it must be something else as at about half a centimeter long, I don't think you'd think was large.
Could be. I thought it looked like the Katkin bug . It was rather large But I didn't think about how long
Might be a Stictopleurus abutilon. Tehy are similar looking and 8mm long
