Thanks Beryl and Pete.
Pete as for me thinking it might be a juvenile like you say no collar but when it was next to the other collared doves it's feathers were a duller colour and the end of it's beak was a slightly lighter colour than the rest of the beak also when it landed it was flapping it's wings more than the rest. Hope this helps |

Yes. You may find they gain their collars after their first or second molt depending on the time of year they hatch. Like the Goldfinch doesn't get his or her red face until after the first molt, again depending on the time of year they hatch, if late in the year then it will be the second molt.
