The RSPB has declared an amnesty at its Fairburn Ings reserve near Castleford. Instead of throwing old crusts of bread to the ducks and swans that live on the main lake, the RSPB is encouraging visitors to swap their leftover loaves for a free bag of special food until the end of September.
