Curry!
Has anybody had any success with using curry powder in there feeders to deter squirrels? This may be an old subject but it has just been mentioned again and I would appreciate any comments on it. Personally it didn't work for me.:(:(.....I mean the squirrels;) Sniper

I bought some capsicum powder to try it, but never used it, as I was a little concerned that it could get into the squirrels eyes and whilst they are a nuisance, I didn't want to see them suffer.
I opted for squirrel-proof feeders instead. :)

My problem is when the RSPB recommend something they often use the opportunity to promote themselves and while I can understand that, I am not convinced that their recommendations are always in the best interests of wildlife. With most people I've spoken to the majority feel chilly powder etc does not work

Well I'll try some on some sunflower hearts on the open table if there is a dry day this week and see whether it works. :)

Hi Rolf, that is a valued point..... will it only work on a rainless day?

I would guess so if applied on an open table, as the rain will wash it away. Have to try it on the table, as the feeders are all Squirrel-proof. :)
