American Foulbrood affects bees

Just read this;
BBC News - Honey bee larva disease found in West Lothian

It seems to have affected areas of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire in recent years. The Channel Islands have a problem just now.

(There is also a European Foulbrood disease.)

Another sting for our beekeepers I guess! :(

That's really concerning, let's hope they can nip it in the bud.

Yes, I read that - not good. It seems to be that bees are really getting hammered from all direction in recent years.
